National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame

In November of each year, the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame honors the musicians, promoters and the music itself with the Annual Achievement Awards. There are numerous categories ranging from Support and Promotion to Band of the Year. The Annual Awards Show is held in conjunction with the Thanksgiving Celebration each year showcasing some of the best bands in the area and from around the country.

AWARDS PREVIEW MEETING A BIG DRAW AT EUCLID CITY HALL

On Oct 13th the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame anounced the three newest inductees for its Lifetime Achievement Award Fred Kuhar of Wickliffe Ohio.Bob Timko of Dunedin,Fla.and Hank Thunander of St. Paul Minn Also announced were the two Greatest All-Time Hits voted in by the members of the Hall ,they are ' Save the Last Dance' Waltz and 'Terezinka Polka' The Board of Trustees also added six names to the Trustees Honor Roll.Accordianist Linda Lee Brown; Drummer Gus Oswald; Drummer John R Gerl; Vocalist Angela Zabjek; Accordionist/Band Leader Ray Skovenski; Mike Dragas, Ray Sterle and Bill Tomsick, members of the Art Perko Orchestra; Bandleader/Accordionist Al Strukel.
