Frankenmuth's polka sweetheart, Linda Lee Brown, has charmed guests as the star entertainer at the famed Bavarian Inn. She is a leading performer of Cleveland-Style music in the state of Michigan and one of only a few women to lead a polka band. Linda Lee plays the accordion and has served as music director at the Inn since 1991. She has shared the spotlight with accordion celebrities, such as Myron Floren and Dick Contino.

The accordion attracted Linda Lee as a child in Midland, Michigan. Encourgaed by her teachers, she started her band, the Golden-Aires in 1974. Fifty years later, she estimates her group entertains a million guests a year. Tony Petkovsek first invited Linda Lee to the Thanksgiving Polka Weekend in 1978. You know her as the first band you hear at the start of each day. Linda Lee has hosted several polka shows on Michigan radio. Among the performers on her dozen albums are Hall of Famers Frank Moravcik and Joey Miskulin.
