The Slogars, Don and Rose, are a husband and wife duo, with Don playing the accordion,
and Rose on the bass, violin, and vocals. Both attended the Cleveland Institute
of Music, where Don earned a Bachelor degree in Music Theory, and Rose was a violin
major. Don started his band in the 1960s, with his late brother Ron. He also played
with Eddie Platt and Jeff Pecon. In 1969, the Slogars became the back-
